I was recently looking up videos of the daytime talk show "The View" on You Tube for reference for a project I'm working on. One of the videos that came up during the search had Donald Trump as a guest discussing Pesident Obama. Whoopi Goldberg is talking & the camera pans out I noticed she's wearing the Jeremy Scott "JS Wings" Adidas. I did a quick Google search to see if other sites had video or pics of this because I simply hate to blog old news. It seems that other sites talked about her wearing them but they all linked it with Chris Brown wearing them also while having a fit on Good Morning America. Below is the video of the actual episode along with pics.

Nike Dunks return this fall in 2 colors, Black & Bronze. The Dunks are made of premium leather & will sport an enlarged swoosh.

Ok so the title might be slightly misleading. K-Swiss isn't endorsing our favorite type of ninjas. You know the silently deadly kind that disappears in smoke, throw shurikens & can kill a room full of armed men with just a short sword and dagger? Well it's not them or the Teenage Mutant kind. K-Swiss will be endorsing the winner of the G4 channels popular show, "American Ninja Warrior".

The winner will win a $500,000 K-Swiss endorsement contract along with becoming the face of a nationwide advertising campaign for K-Swiss. NBC will televise the season finale of “American Ninja Warrior,” G4’s biggest and most successful original program to date, Monday, August 22, with a two-hour primetime special, beginning at 9 pm ET. The special will feature the American competitors’ final stage of their journey as they head to Japan to take on the world’s toughest obstacle course.

I decided to post video's of various sneakers worn in television & films.
For my 1st S.I.M (Sneakers In Media) post I decided to go with a show that's a little more obscure. Many of us have spotted sneakers in various shows such as "A Different World", "Seinfeld", "Martin" & "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air". How many of us can say we spotted a popular sneaker in Star Trek?

No, not the Captain James T Kirk Star Trek. This is the Borg fighting, 7 of 9 is the best thing on t.v having, Star Trek Voyager. Not only does this episode have a popular sneaker, it has the sneaker being worn by The Peoples Champ - The Rock & the lovely 7 of 9!!! Below you can watch the two fight while wearing Nike Flightposites in the Feb, 9th, 2000 Voyager episode titled "Tsunkatse"

Actress Jeri Ryan (7 of 9) Flightposites were auctioned on Ebay by California based screen used entertainment memorabilia dealer ItsAWrap, with the rest of her costume for $1,325 on June 29th of 2007. The modified Nike Flightposites have a blue light attached to each side that is each powered by a single 9Volt battery. The battery, electronics and switch are housed in the back of each shoe in a black Velcro pouch. One can only wonder what happened to the Rock's pair.

Just came back from the Cincinnati Sneaker Showcase. I saw a lot of nice kicks on display & hung out with some really cool people. I'm  not going to make a long post, I just want to thank all the cool people I met that made my trip entertaining. (No particular order) Tulio Garonzi, Feeway730, Rox Fontaine, My Sole To Keep, Chadio, Vito Saucelito, Kevin, Jose, Beedee, JoannaGenius, Troy, Alfonso Alleneno, Dj Scratch N Sniff, G Roc, Premium Pete, D Smallz, Lauren Luna, Ashley, StheBest, Alex & I'm sure I forgot many more (Im getting old).... My 1st time in Houston is a great one. I came out here with the OSD crew, Dee Wells, Paperchasr, Chadio, and Sneakertube's Premium Pete to support Kadoma at the H Town Sneaker Summit. While down there I met some very cool people like Major & Kim, producers of the upcoming feature film "Elevens" coming out 11/11/11 (Elevens The Movie),  Kadoma (the organizer of the H Town Summit), Dsicle, the lovely ladies at the Price of Popularity booth (Senedra Newsome & Reel FaNatikz Arielle Bodden rocking the Yankee fitted), Adam from Sportsrapplive & talked about the Tunnel with Bun B.

I had all the fast food that's not available in Ny like Sonics and Jack In The Box. I went to the Warehouse to party & a place called Dreams that was on point. I have been to Ny events but its good to get out and support others. Kadoma put together a really good event. Huge location (Toyota Center), very organized, good music (Bun B performed) & vendors with a variety of sneakers, clothes, art etc. I look forward to returning to Houston soon. H Town Sneaker Summit 2k11

Headed to Houston this Sat, Jan 22nd for the H-Town Sneaker Summit Sun, Jan 23rd. Me a few fellow sneakerheads/ representatives of OSD are on our way. Might check out the Rockets vs Magic game Sat & depending on day plans I might sight see. Check out my twitter for H town updates

A few minutes ago I received an email from my brother titled "This is unbelievable". I open the email and inside is a Cragslist post. The post is hilarious to me because the person is trying to hire "Muscle" to retrieve his stolen sneakers and the theif is holding the sneakers for ransom. I checked the post but it has been flagged & removed. Hopefully this makes it to the Best Of Craigslist later on. Thanks you Andre and Marlana for bringing this to my attention

There is an idiot guy who stole 4 pairs of sneakers from me. I need a recovery service. The dude has over 1,000 pairs of sneakers at his house, worth probably 200k or more. I just want the 4 pairs that belong to me. I can prove they are mine, and i can show you the text message, where he said, he's holding my sneakers ransom, and is extorting me for $700. Rather keep this out of court if possible.

Will pay $200 to get them back, sneakers are worth $600. Hit me up, and let's do it. He lives in Williamsburg. Not sure how you do this, people help me out here!

Saturday, September 26th, friends & followers of the O.S.D (Obsessive Sneaker Disorder)live call in talk show came to RIME clothing boutique in Brooklyn to celebrate the shows 100th episode. Party goers shopped, networked and took plenty of pictures while awaiting the advance screening of OSD's Just Blame Chad sketch comedy show that will soon premiere on OSD TV.




Chad Jones, a sneaker obsessed New York City dweller, is one of the most popular cast members on the live, weekly OSD Talk Show & Podcast. “After listening to the degree of comedy in the responses that Chad put forth on the show each week, I was certain that Chad should do this, and I bugged him until he gave in,” says DeJongh “Dee” Wells, Creator & Executive Producer of the OSD Talk Show & Podcast. “The show will be a mix of sneaker culture parody mixed with Jackass, throw in some Chappelle Show, with a touch of Jimmy Kimmel Live. We’ll also have a musical guest at the end of each show” says Sean “Paper Chasr” Williams. “A lot is going to happen really fast because the show will be only 15 minutes” he added.

If you have been following this blog since the beginning or just recently started visiting, you might have notice the Lasered Nike iD post. In that post I received some photos of some lasered iD air forces done in an Ebay, Snickers, Heineken, Jordan & a Cali SB colorway. At the time I didn't know who created these iD's but I soon found out & never posted the info. The owner & designer of those lasered Nike iD's is none other Chi Mcbride. Chi was kind of enough to give Dj Clark Kent the Cali pair as a gift. I wonder will Chi do more lasered iD's or maybe even a Bespoke Air Force 1.

Saturday August 8th, Brooklyn had it's very own Sneaker Art Show. Art inspired by sneakers as well as customized kicks were on display for all to enjoy. The Anivram art show was held in a beautiful brownstone in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. From the outside you would have thought it was a typical Brooklyn house party but once inside, you were surrounded by amazing art work from artists all over the world as far Australia to the Netherlands. Majority of the artists were present to discuss their work while founder & Ceo, Sam explained what Anivram is and what it brings to the sneaker culture. Old school hip hop played while onlookers took pictures, networked with others or had caricatures of themselves drawn by Richard Welch

Anivram is unisex sneaker boutique based in Brooklyn, Ny. Anivram specializes in the latest urban sneaker styles in addition to retro styles, custom sneakers and other apparel you will not find at your commercial sneaker stores. Anivram is not just about retailing footwear but also stimulating sneaker culture.
