As you all should know by now, I am obsessed with movies. Whether it's an indie film, animated or a summer blockbuster, I try to see as many as possible. Below is a short film created by 40th floor productions for the 2009 National Film Challenge that i thought was good given the short length. Watch the film and leave comments.

This is a horrible movie starring Lindsay Lohan. Now I know your thinking what did I expect from a Lindsay Lohan film but Its not the acting that I'm complaining about. The story was trash!!!! I will spoil the plot with hopes of saving you from wasting time & brain cells.
In some small town , somebody is amputating young females & leaving them to die. Lohans character falls victim to this & everyone starts to search for her. About 20 min later, Lohan is found on the side of a road & this is where the movie goes downhill. First you find out she's a stigmatic twin, which she finds out from going to ASK.com. One twin plays the piano, loves writing & has a nice family. The 2nd is a horrible exotic dancer with a crackhead for a mother. Now any wound one stigmatic twin suffers, the other will also. This is bullshit!!! When the killer amputated one twin leg, the other woke up with her leg cut off also! Who is actually supposed to believe this nonsense? I suppose that whenever 1 got scratched, scraped & bruised as a child, the other got mysterious marks from nowhere? There's a scene where one twin is buried alive & the other twin is starting to have shortness of breath. Come on, how is this not straight to Dvd or a Sci-fi channel movie? Anyway the killer is the music teacher who gets angry when one of his students quit taking music lessons. He already killed a girl who played the harp & tried to kill Lohan who quit piano lessons to improve her writing. This movie is trash & thats coming from a person who saw it for free!!! thankfully I also saw Bourne Ultimatum which was a good movie.
After the success of last year’s sneaker documentary “Just for Kicks”, Sean “Ope” Williams, also known to the sneaker world as “Paper Chasr” was inspired. The 35 year old sneaker lover was inspired by what he saw and did not see in that ground breaking film. This caused him to begin laying down the plans for his own documentary titled “Know You Got Sole!” It’s a documentary that will touch on various topics within sneaker culture but addressed from a New York City perspective. “I was delighted by what I saw in Just for Kicks, but I got motivated to do my film by what I didn’t see in it as well”, says Paper Chasr. “I also don’t believe that things almost all people across the world partake in should be covered from a celebrity point of view”, he added. “Know You Got Sole!” will address such topics as the struggle for guys who wear size 13 and up to get fresh kicks, the views of female sneaker collectors, and an interesting discussion about how and why people lace their sneakers the way they do. These topics are among 3 or 4 others that will feature a well rounded opinion of sneaker culture from the mouths of the everyday New Yorkers who represent it with no apologies religiously.

O.k. I know a lot of people are excited about the Transformers movie. I myself was happy that the studio decided to make a live action film about one of my favorite childhood cartoons. I was especially happy they put tons of money into the film and hired George Lucas ILM (Industrial Lights & Magic) company for the special effects. With all that said, let me jump into the problems.
1st problem- Humans!!! This movie had way too many scenes where humans were the main characters & not the Transformers. The movie is called Transformers. I hoped that when humans were on the screen they were either running for their life (Godzilla) or being murdered by giant robots (War Of The Worlds). This was not the case at all. Not only did the humans play the most important role in this movie since a human saves the day but they had humans on screen with lines that were pointless.
2nd- Too much comedy!!! I heard more people laughing than clapping during this film. Every 15 min theres a comedy scene. Why??? I saw the animated movie in the theater & that movie had a much more serious tone then this movie. This movie was filled with dumb humor that took up scenes where there could have been transformers fighting instead. Anthony anderson being the funny computer hacker adding humor to an interrogation scene. Shia Labeouf's parents adding humor throughout the movie, even during the ending credits. John tutoro being the comical special agent with a wife beater on with a dumbass symbol for laughs....They even added comedy to bumblebee as soon as he steps into the movie. he decides to play Love songs according to what on Shia Leboufs mind while around Megan Fox. A little girl asking a giant robot if its the tooth fairy??? Give me a break.
3rd- (Spoiler Alert) The only black Autobot dies! Jazz gets ripped in half by megatron. WTF, 1st horror movies, now we cant even live as robots?
4th- Robotic Gremlin. There was a little Decepticon running around on screen making sounds & cursing. This was the robotic version of Stripe from the Gremlins movies. This robot was sneaking around a military airport in plain site, hiding behind walking people. This character was the jar jar binks/ewoks (Starwars annoying characters) of the movie.
5th- Why switch the names of the robots? Why is Devastator a tank? just name it something else. Fans of the original series dont understand why they changed the names.
6th- Why is it that these advanced alien robots with superior firepower cant seem to kill 5 soldiers out in the open on a city street? When the movie started, 1 decepticon destroys a whole military base but when the end of the movie comes, they lose all accuracy with bullets. They cant lock on & kill Tyrese & the other worthless soldiers.
7th- There's giant robots running around & there is panic in the streets. All the Autobots are standing around the main characters house & not 1 neighbor or anyone else see this! not too mention the fact that one of them falls & shakes the ground but nobody comes outside to see whats going on? I know its pg 13 movie but why put dumb scenes in the movie? this movie is for kids & adults but only if the adults dont pay attention to anything except the special effects.
If you never saw the original movie then this is a family fun movie. The special effects are great, its cool that they kept the transformation sounds from the cartoon & the original voice actor for Optimus Prime. This movie doesnt have many robot vs robot fight scenes. There's 1 short fight with Bumblebee (yellow camaro) & Baracade (police car) that is interrupted by a human struggling with a robotic gremlin. This took away from seeing the whole fight. It has another short fight with Optimus & some decepticon. That was cool because Optimus pulled no punches and killed his enemy. Then theres the last battle with all the Transformers except Baracade (M.I.A) & jazz who gets killed too quickly.
