Tuesday Sept 28th, Run Athletics and Nintendo had a Launch party for the new Legacy sneaker at the Nintendo World store in NY. The sneaker is a good looking sneaker, I actually never saw a run athletics sneaker in person before this event. The sneaker is white with aqua colored stars, a black midsole, clear red sole with an image Mario under one foot and Yoshi under the other plus a giant "M" on the tongue.
The party had a nice mix of people from sneakerheads, industry people and your die hard Nintendo fans. Dj Clark Kent kept the crowd moving and singing along as he played rap favorites while Vitamin Water provided the much needed drinks for the night. Run (Run Dmc) showed up with his 2 sons, took a few pictures and even deejayed a little before leaving the event. My only complaint about the event was the heat. No air conditioning and 150 people made it feel like an oven.
